With some avid golfers in our team, we were hugely excited to be given the task of creating a Point of Sale display for PING Golf Equipment. PING are renowned for their world-class golf clubs, so ensuring our display matched this level of professionalism and quality, was key.
Another challenge Pure Innovations had to overcome was creating an eye-catching display within a small footprint. As the stand was to display golf clubs, it was important that the design didn’t distract from the equipment displayed. This display had to find the right balance between attracting attention to that area, yet keeping the eye on the product for sale.
To create these stands, we chose to use a multi-faceted design, incorporating lots of different materials and techniques to create a series of different displays that all echoed the same aesthetic. Re-board was used to create lightweight but sturdy designs, a TV screen was fitted in one display to allow PING to play videos to help attract attention further, and layers of acrylic were fitted to create the illusion of depth.
One of the displays was created using steel construction which gave the stand a weighted feel, while PVC and display board was used to showcase the PING clubs. Each of the stands, although entirely different in look, were all designed to have flowing curves juxtaposed against strong lines. This design mimics the designs of the clubs, which subconsciously helps to attract the potential customers in further.
